One of our BBQ Brethren, Whitetrash BBQ is competing this weekend at a BBQ competition. The contest is the Hudson Valley Ribfest, http://www.hudsonvalleyribfest.org
The Ribfest is open August 17th (5pm-10pm) August 18th (11am-10pm) and August 19th (12pm-5pm.) The Ribfest is held at the Ulster County Fairgrounds, located on Libertyville Road in New Paltz, NY 12561.

If you have the time and want to taste some GREAT BBQ this weekend, please stop by and cheer our BBQ Brother on as he competes against some of the NY area's best Pitmasters.

I spent the afternoon yesterday meeting with the owner and staff at Lip Smakin Smokers in Elizabeth NJ. The owner, Rob, is one of the nicest people I've ever met and is a true BBQ aficionado. They are a great local source for you to get your BBQ supplies (Smokers, wood, lump charcoal, sauces, rubs, books...) Be sure to tell them that I, The RibMan, sent ya.
